Dropdown menu missing links

The old stories menu has an annoying bug. When I choose f.ex. "Chapter 41: Freelance bums" the list shows no headlines, if I've scrolled down the previous menu at all. If the previous menu is on the top, all four items can be seen. It's as if the dropdown menu didn't scroll back up upon encountering a new list. This problem appears with Chrome on different machines but not with firefox (tested on one computer).
