odball archive problem

I am going thru the archives, and for some reason, about every 2 or 3 weeks or so a strip pops up instead of the one that was supposed to. it is always the same one. attached is a bitmap of the first panels of the strip, if that helps identify it. the url is always correct for the intended strip, and it seems like i eventually get the right one if i reload enough times.

I noticed on mine I've seen this strip a number of times http://www.sluggy.com/comics/archives/daily/010409, although I initially thought it chose a random strip.

I noticed there's two different formats for dates on the site, some strips use 4 digits for the year, while some use 2. This made me think "OMG Y2K bug" but it's probably not really related. Actually, it looks like it switches between the two formats when you click on the calendar.
