Site Incompatible with InPrivate Filtering

I use Internet Explorer 8, and have it set so that InPrivate Filtering is always on. However, I have to turn it off for this site, as the navigation menus and calendar disappear when it's on. Additionally, the site does not automatically log me in as a defender like it use to. I have to log in with each visit.

Unfortunately, you're likely going to need to turn off inprivate filtering for Sluggy.com

Among other things, our javascript is now hosted offsite via Google's CDN, which Microsoft has decided isn't allowed under Private filtering.

The usage of a CDN defers bandwidth costs for us significantly as well as delivering Javascript optimally to your end. Unfortunately, IE8's porn mode blocks any javascript hosted offsite. While we have noscript tags to deliver "scaled down" functionality when Javascript is blocked/disabled. However, for some inexplicable reason, when Microsoft blocks Javascript they delete every tag associated with that section, and the noscript doesn't fire off.

The easiest solution here for you is going to be to disable inprivate filtering; I'll keep an eye out for any work around that plays nice with Microsoft's latest abomination, but I can't promise anything.

As for being logged in automatically, that's a bug on our end which I'll be fixing tonight or tomorrow. A third party library made an undocumented change to cookie expiration that is causing cookies to set per-session now instead of saving. However, I suspect porn-mode would block a long-expiration cookie anyway.
