Can't scroll down
Reported by kirk | August 18th, 2009 @ 08:58 PM
I'm using IE6. When I first enter the site, the bar at the top floats down and tells me "Internet Explorer is missing updates -- click here to update". If I click the "X" in the upper right corner to remove the bar, I can no longer scroll down the page -- every time I start to scroll down, the page blinks and resets to the top of the page.
If I leave the bar in place I can scroll OK.

- State changed from new to hold
- Tag set to ie6
I will look into this and see what I can do...
I do however HIGHLY recommend updating to a newer version of IE, or getting Firefox or Chrome.
Many high profile websites, including Youtube, are disabling support for IE6 and you are going to start finding it harder to get around on the web with it.
Let me know if you see any other IE 6 issues, as we are working to ensure continuing compatibility at at least a basic level.

If I just pass my cursor over the update bar it repositions me back to the top of the page. I have to be careful to keep my cursor away from it while I'm reading/scrolling.
