defender membership

I joined the defenders even though I really couldn't afford to
as my company was about to downsize. I did so because of the
promised weekly sampire comic book page add, thought it would be
cool, as previous it seemed less than nifty to be a defender, plus
Pete was warning that sluggy might end if he didn't have money to
coninue.
So now, after being out of work since the company layoffs in April
2009, my defender membership is up, and I can't get to the last of
the sampire comic book. I assume it would have originally completed
in a year, as exclusive access to it was promised to old and new
defenders. Delay though happened, and it's been a year, and it's
not finished, and I don't get the end, without shelling out $25 I
don't have (I'm thinking about selling stuff on eBay to raise the
money), that's not nifty at all, so call this a whining
complaint.
